See The NHL 08 Gallery

I understand some folks are having trouble viewing the link I put in the last post. Someone grabbed stills of the new Rbk EDGE jerseys for all 30 teams as shown in EA Sports' NHL 08. If you would like to see them all, I've compiled them in my Rbk EDGE gallery in a separate album so as not to confuse them with official team images.

View the NHL 08 Gallery here!

Hope you guys enjoy that. And I hope you'll keep coming back to the blog for the official unveilings — as well as the tournament! — now that you can see decent shots of the overall designs of all 60 sweaters. Enjoy!

Philly is my fave - and yeah, I'm a Flyers fan so I'm both biased and blessed.

I wish San Jose would have done a Black jersey as the home version. Don't get me wrong, I like the Blue one, but Black would just be that much cooler.

I feel so bad for Dallas and Anaheim fans. They now have the worst logo/slash jerseys in the league.

For our AHL brothers, Manitoba has a HUGE winner with their new jerseys. Glad they went with that edgier Moose crest, it rocks.

Sharks are the only team that took an ugly design and made it good.

As for all you in Edmonton, my prayers are with you.

kindred,

Manitoba almost looks great, but what's with the cape thing?

So, first impressions with that...

1: Capitals are one of the bests.

2: Way too mutch piping.

3: Edmonton is terrible.

4: Bad to be a Dallas fan.

5: Carolina is underrated.

6: Los angeles not that bad.

7: Original six teams rule.

Oh man...poor Dallas fans. Now I can really hate them when they're playing the Avs. Too bad the Avs changed as much as they did...but the new jerseys are catching on for me...

Wow, Chris... thanks for sharing this very interesting (and valuable source of information on what the unreleased NHL jerseys are expected to look like.

Is it me or do some of the uniforms that a number of us have criticized look better in a video game than on television? Examples for me would be Calgary, Carolina, Colorado, Florida (you're right on that one with the recent photos), Minnesota, the Islanders, Philadelphia, Tampa Bay, Toronto and Vancouver.

I do wonder if the Thrashers will be that "ATLANTA" on the left sleeve or not. I'm not too happy with Dallas' new look (if that's indeed it), same with Nashville's, I don't like the Kings keeping their current look from the last 10 years and the Capitals could've used a better font than what's in their throwback-tribute new crest logo. The side panels on their new jerseys I wish they'd remove. I don't even want to talk about Buffalo. They can keep their lettering and number font on a new jersey, but that design is ugly as sin. Yet Sabres fans bought last year's jerseys.

I do like what might be in store for Edmonton and definitely San Jose. Believe it or not, I feel St. Louis' is sharp as well.

And what's up with Phoenix adding a brick red shoulder panel on their road white jersey?

What's not shown in the pictures, I don't think, but shown in the actual game, San Jose has numbers on the chest.

The Dallas home jersey looks like prepboy sweaters. I'm loving the new Oilers look, can't wait for my pre-order to come in!

Uni Watch said that one more team was using the same horrible template that Florida used, I just didn't think it'd be a team with as much heritage as Edmonton.

With that being said, wtf is up with Atlanta's terrible attempt at edginess with the sleeves? I guess it could work for jersey sales for that...er...market.

As a Sharks fan, I'm a bit perplexed as to why they changed from their past jersey design, which appeared to be as close to the way the new EDGE system looks, and went with a more traditional approach. But after seeing the atrocities in Edmonton, Florida, Atlanta, St Louis, Calgary, Tampa, and Anaheim, I am glad the Sharks went with an homage to the 91-92 design.

In some cases the piping works, I just don't like the apron look too much on most of the teams that use it. I can really only say that Colorado can kind of pull it off, but only because the purple is pleasing to the eye.

And, there is no way that is the final home kit for Dallas. EA is notorious for getting first year designs wrong in their games. The Texans had white helmets in their first appearance in Madden, so I'm sure this is just a mixture of Dallas not giving out the final jersey design along with EA releasing the game prior to the seasons official dropping of the puck.

What Happened to the Leafs Jersey? I'm glad they removed the TML but didn't replace it with anything like the Old 35 point leaf logo or anything...way too plain
