This may be a photo of the Detroit Red Wings Rbk EDGE style jerseys. It also may be a recoloring of a jersey that's already been unveiled. Either way, it's a whole lot of red. No word at this point on when the Wings plan to make an official announcement. Until then, muse on this.

They are, I was just imagining something to make it a little more visually interesting. As to where I found it, I really should start keeping track. Unfortunately, I haven't been and I'm sure I came across it on some message board somewhere. I hit so many various boards and blogs every day that it's so easy to forget. I'll try to start paying attention to where I find this stuff in the future.
I doubt the authenticity of this one. I think the Wings will certainly follow suit of the Bruins and go the traditional route. Plus, the black lines in the collar appear to be very reminiscent of the recently released Caps sweater. If this minimalist design is really the Wings new digs, I'll be shocked and amazed.
That was my thought too, Bill. Black has never been part of the Detroit ensemble so I have my doubts as well. We'll just have to wait and see.
It seems like the current Wings design would be the easiest to convert to the Edge system. If they haven't tampered with the design EVER before, why would they do it now if they don't have to? Also, that looks like a Blue Jackets uniform that has been re-colored, or at least too similar for the league to allow in the same division.
All very good points. Like I said, it may well be the work of a Photoshop-inclined hockey fan, but I at least wanted to post it just so it's there. Thanks for the comments, all!

Actually, the template looks very similar to the new home jersey for the Blue Jackets (i.e, thin striping along the sleeves and hem of the jersey)
Don;t like th jersey it's just to plain and boring
It also looks like something that would be worn in a practice rather than a game
There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that this will not be the red wings new jerseys
Hey chris.. can you throw up a picture of the new columbus jerseys beside that one... I think we might see some similarities.
