Help Wanted: Blackhawks Logo

Hi everyone. I've hit a wall and I could really use your help finding a decent quality version of a surprisingly hard-to-find logo. The Chicago Blackhawks wear on their shoulders a logo that depicts two tomahawks crossed over a letter "C."

Actually, it looks a little something like this.

The actual logo is close to this but not quite the same. If you're as anal as I am and look really closely, you'll notice the differences I'm talking about.

Notice the serif on the "C" as well as ties on the tomahawk heads and the overall proportions of the two logos. I know the differences are so incredibly minor that it almost doesn't matter. But quality and accuracy matter to me so just indulge me a little if you will.

Stare at those two logos a while and see if you can help. My goal is to have the proper logo for the secondary logo tournament which I'm anticipating will be the next in the series here at NHLToL. Thanks in advance for all your help!

Wow, Creamer let you down, hey? He's usually pretty good.

I don't know where you could get a perfectly accurate logo, but from what you've got you could probably make a pretty good approximation with photoshop or something. Looks like the basic proportions are about right, it would just be a matter of widening and narrowing things. I could do it myself, but I've got no time right now.

Good luck with that. I sympathize with your anality.

i finally see what you're talking about
the x's on the tomahawks aren't the same
on the jersey, it's thinner and it reaches both the top and bottom of the white part
and the C on the jersey looks more like a San Fransisco 49ers font and the C in the logo is like a Chicago Cubs C

i honestly don't think it matters cause it took like 5 min. of looking just to see the differences

They are small, but the secondary logo is on the Blackhawks home page a number of times (with the headline for each section on the main page). Maybe someone with some skills can enlarge it and keep it looking good. The one on their page is also the secondary logo for the white jersey (not the red). Not sure if you have a preference in which one you are looking for.

Keep up the good work!

reason for the differences is that the 1st one is what is used on the replica jerseys. the one with the serif is used on the authentics. Aside from the fact that the stitching is completely different between the replicas and authentics the serif and ties are the other way to tell even at a distance if they are authentic or replicas

It is a pretty bad site. In fact, that's not even the logo. Close, but not quite. Look closely. I'm very particular about these things. But thanks for the effort everybody. I feel like we've almost got it!

the logo server is about as close as we've got it has the serif but not a good one and the crosses go to the end of the tomahawk

Well, you could always ask the ppl who make NHL series addons, they've got "crested" versions of the one you are looking for in template size...

If you're willing to take a high-res photo of a crest, I can shoot you one.
