Oilers Tease New Sweater Online
Just a minor note but worth posting nevertheless. The Edmonton Oilers have a small teaser graphic of their new Rbk EDGE uniforms on their home page.
Like I said, it's not much but it does tell us that copper is sticking around a while along with the navy blue. This appears to be the road sweater. If I were to guess though, I'd say the home sweater will be blue and also have a blue collar.
The Oil will unveil the new jerseys to everyone on Sunday at the Joey Moss Cup at Rexall Place.

I was kinda hoping they would revert to the old blue, but this appears to be a good start.
too bad, those 1980's colors they wore in a few games last year looked really sharp
I'd love to see a return to the shoulder-yolk of the 80's design.
Please don't suck, Oilers jerseys. What's visible from that NHL08 shot, it doesn't look horrible, but you can't see the bottom or the arms too well. Hopefully they retain the striping. Hell, keep everything the same, just move it over to the new cut and I'd be thrilled. Too many teams are making radical changes when they're not needed and end up looking much worse than they did before.
I'm probably in the minority on this, but I really hope we see the Todd MacFarlane designed alternate logo as the primary logo on the home sweater with the oil drop logo as the secondary logo on the shoulders. Then, I'd love to see the oil drop logo as the away primary logo.
I'm not sure whether this day is coming fast enough or not. I'm not sure if I'm excited or scared. Oh well now I'll have to buy two new jersey's this year. One for the Oil and one for the Oil Kings.
They've been leaked in NHL08. Not as bad as some, but not good either. Those half-arm stripes are terrible. :(
