Price has George Straight painted on his mask. LAME.
I'm a Habs and Carey Price fan but I don't care for either mask. I believe all Habs goalies should have a Habs mask. Huet's was great. The Habs in Front and Crest on top are nice but I the rodeo/country singers is not for me.
Saby's is okay and very personal to him. I won't knock him for putting his child's face on his mask but its not something I'd do. And why do all Pengiuns painted on masks look like too cartoony or just plain boring?

i just counted, and i am not sure if this is statistically significant.
in 19 out of 26 polls thus far*, the goalie mask on the left has won, versus the goalie on the right.
is this representative of how people actually feel about the masks, or something more implicit.
kinda makes you wonder.

I noticed that a while back too, though I'm not at all surprised. Back before we started this tournament, I posted a huge poll to allow you guys to vote on the top 32 goalies you wanted to see included in the tournament.
The way I designed the bracket from there is that in every poll, the goalies (from the original list) you guys voted for are on the left — if that makes sense.
So logically, you guys are just voting for the same masks you picked before the tournament began. The reason I didn't just start with those 32 is that I assumed a lot of folks would be voting based on what goalies they liked and not necessarily masks.
Therefore the tournament polls include photos of all of the current NHL masks. Does that make sense? This trend will probably disappear entirely when the next round of voting begins.
the left side of the screen (in movies, tv, blogs) is the 'strong side'. since we read from left to right, the left is the first we see, therefore it is 'stronger'. next time you watch a (non-asian)movie, notice how the shot is framed. the 'stronger' character will be on the left. also, the director will lead your eyes usually from left to right.
but, no matter how you place these two, it aint gonna help.
price, simply because masks are just as good but hes cool.
