although im an avs fan and think the logo is impressive and intricate, theres no messing or bashing the nordiques logo due to its style of simplicity and interesting blend of red, white and powder blue to form an igloo. Another tidbid is that the name refers to the club at the time, being the northernmost franchise in the WHA/NHL, until they moved.
For the record, Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver, and Winnipeg are all farther north than Quebec City. Edmonton and Winnipeg were charter members of the WHA with Quebec in 1972; Vancouver already had the Canucks by then. Though the Nordiques were one of the northernmost sports franchise on the continent, they weren't the farthest north.
Still, nice to see the old school logo.
