Easy one. They did a nice job updating that logo.
I hate the new logo. The new one left so much to be desired. I wasn't a fan of the wordmark thing on the first one, but if your gonna put it on the new one, make sure you have something on the bottom. I would have like it better had the word been over the logo like Vancouver's

Yeah voting for neither would be good. But having to pick one... the new one is a bit better. But only a bit.

Both logos are terrible. There's so much potential, but none was realized. How about a T and a B that are shaped like lightning bolts? Or a storm cloud shaped like a big hockey player holding a lightning bolt hockey stick (check out the Trenton Thunder's new logo)? Or ANYTHING other than the words "Tampa Bay" and a big, stupid lightning bolt in a circle.
Any logo that spells out a city name is unimaginative. The old one not only spells out the city name, but spells out the team name as well. And the new one looks like the symbol of a superhero from Tampa. It might be Hulk Hogan's new symbol when he comes out of retirement again.
Awful. Just unoriginal and awful.
