  1. might as well start this off. the interlocking N with the devilish J is a helluva lot better than that alien hurricane. just something doesn't look right about carolina's logo.

  2. I'll second that. I've tried to examine this logo but it hurts my eyes...some of the lines are painfully awkward. It reminds me of the times I'm bored and just doodling in Adobe Illustrator and creating nonsense...and then I delete it...this should have been the case too. If they'd just use the secondary as the primary (warning flag) they'd be golden.

  3. This should be a landslide victory for the Devils. The Hurricanes logo is incredibly boring and unoriginal, not to mention it's hideous.

  4. They are both simple. They both represent their team name in the logo. But NJ has the state abreviation in the logo.

    I went NJ.

  5. i have a bug to report. on the changing logos sidebar, it still shows the old tampa bay lightning logo.

  6. It should be showing the old and new logos. Try refreshing the page if you're still having problems.

  7. where the new logo is supposed to be, it shows the old one.

  8. yeah, it still shows the old logo two times. It was working yesterday...

  9. This is really strange. It works fine for me in Safari. I tried opening the site in Firefox, and it's the same problem you guys are having. I'll try re-uploading the file. Then just try refreshing your pages. Hope it works!

  10. hey! when you click the second logo, it goes to the new one. It just doesn't show it on the homepage.

And Chris, did you get a reply email from me? My email's been doing weird things lately...

  11. Lucas, no I haven't gotten any emails from you today, but I did respond to the one you sent me yesterday.

Everyone, I re-uploaded the file and the new Lightning logo seems to be working now. I refreshed the page and it's showing up in both Safari and Firefox for me.

Let me know if you're still having problems. Remember, if you're a regular visitor, you're going to have to use that refresh button when new logos are unveiled because I'm using the same file name as the old logo. Thanks!

  13. The Hurricanes' flush-toilet logo is among the worst in sports. They're out of their minds for not using their secondary logo as their primary one.

    Devils all the way.

  14. now if it was the whalers logo that would have won

  15. The Hurricanes logo is the horrible. The worst ever. Vancouver's cir. 1980 were better.
How did they get a bye?

  16. hard decision but im going with the Devils

  17. The outer Red and Black bands are "C"s that stand for Carolina, not just a design (lucas, did you not notice that? so they're just as representative as the NJ). The White in the middle is the meteorological symbol for Hurricane. The puck in the middle is Hockey.

    Carolina Hurricanes Hockey.

The logo says it all. And it's the better of the two.

  18. The canes logo is really just terrible and awkward.

    devils all the way

The Cs are so hard to see unless you know it already. NJ stands out, the Cs are hidden. It's less representive since everyone should be able to easily see it. Everyone see the Hurricane.

Devils win though... cause the logo is just better.

  20. unbelievable that the canes have made it to the second round

this logo is so bad taste, so crappy, so 1990s

  21. they made it to the second round automatically, they got a bye in the first.

devils by a mile, by the way.

  22. Hurricane logo is poor, random line don't do it for me. The new canucks logo also stinks, we know they're from vancouver they didn't need to write it on their jerseys. GO DEVILS

  23. No question the Devils have the better logo.

  24. Talk about BOORING!!! How boring is an N and J interlocked. At least the hurricanes logo took more than 5 seconds to put together. Come On!!! No wonder they are called Devils. The logo is a JOKE!

  25. I've logged a vote for the Devils as Carolina's logo does little for me. If any of you have time, do some justice for a great classic logo and vote in the Oilers/Hawks poll. It's way closer than it should be.

  26. Canes all the way! NJ's logo is so 70's.

  27. Hurricanes logo is the worst in Hockey.

  28. The New Jersey Devils have the most amateurish logo design ever conceived. The brain trust who created it must have drawn it with crayon between bites of their peanut butter and jelly sandwiches (crust removed).

Pathetic... simply pathetic. Everyone voting for it should wear a bag on their head.

  29. Being the perv that I am, the Hurricanes logo looks like a 69, kudos Katrina.
