  1. GREAT LOGOS! Both deserve to be here. Simple shapes with meaning!

  2. Gotta go with "Johnny's shoulder" on this one. The Caps "fire chicken" is definetly a sharp looking logo with great use of local imagery incorporated into the design. But the "stick in rink" is classic and just says hockey.

  3. Finally, we got two people who understand the canucks logo.

  5. Hey Bryan, "fire chicken" is just what my friends and I call Trans Ams, but only we would get that I guess. The Caps secondary logo looks like it belongs on the hood of a 1978 Pontiac Firebird. It's a great logo though so the "fire chicken" comment is not intended to be a slag.

  6. My kindergartener could draw a better secondary logo than that lame-ass "stick in rink" (or stink for short) logo. My vote goes to the Caps. Easily.

  7. fair enough. although the caps logo looks similiar to D.C. United's:

I'm still impressed with the Caps design. I also have this hat:

All in all, it's a very powerful logo, so I'm not abashed by your comments johnny.

  8. canucks old logo is so ugly. Yes the updated rink and stick is amazing but this looks horrible. Caps is way nicer

  9. What on earth are you talking about Lance? This *is* the updated stick in rink logo... which you say is "amazing", yet can't recognize.

Keeps out most of the riffraff.

Also, because you're Canadian I can forgive your ignorance, but that's the outline of the U.S. Capitol building in that logo and not the White House.

  12. Even if it is a DC United knock off - no one knocks the Penguins for switching their colors to look more like the Steelers~

  13. oh... wow this is kind of embarassing
i thought the "white house" was just a nickname for the capitol dome
don't mind me though, i'm VERY ignorant when it comes to american geography
but i'm ready to jump on the oppurtunity to correct an american on canadian geography/history

  14. Congrats Crapitals. Although it is a great logo, that stick was starting to get on my nerves.

  15. Seeing as we're correcting ignorance allow me to correct "Ogre". Black and Gold is the City of Pittburgh's colors. The Guins might have switched for unity of all sports teams in the Burgh...FYI.
