I've also heard they plan to make some modifications to the Maple Leaf logo, but it's all just rumors for now.Chrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05730650488637033179noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2419524927872665062.post-89785435469161119372007-07-29T14:55:00.000-04:002007-07-29T14:55:00.000-04:00Well, about those 'storied' clubs - apparently the...Well, about those 'storied' clubs - apparently the Maple Leafs are not one of the original six to want to keep horizontal lines and shake things up a bit. I heard from a source that the Leafs new RBK Edge White jersey is more like a practice jersey than anything else. COMPLETELY white with their blue leaf logo. Maybe it will help them pull off a few more wins this year? ;)

GAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2419524927872665062.post-63919377696746530492007-07-29T12:49:00.000-04:002007-07-29T12:49:00.000-04:00And why would they want to? I think those are great jerseys and while not everyone should go the horizontal stripes route, I think its worth having a couple of the storied clubs stick to what their fans have known forever. He said that there was no way that the team / owner would want to change anything with their logo. Along the same lines, I've been told that MTL is keeping their horizontal stripes - 100% positive. Sorry. Though, to be fair, one look at it and I think just about any person in North America would think hockey. I too would bet that it won't be going anywhere.

My only suggestion would be to update it the way the Bruins recently updated theirs. It is easily one of the most prolific logos in the NHL. It's a classic, and I am willing to be that it will stay the same for a LONG time to come.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
